Throttle body hose's Keep an eye on them!!

My old G60 started to run a bit strange this week, not really pulling that well, anyway, i had my new zorst section fitted today and i thought that might solve it (no more tiny hole) anyway no such luck, got home let the old girl cool down and starting checking things over, found the pipe from the throttle body to the ECU had a hole in it due to the heat from the engine. snipped it off and hey presto!! sorted,

 

No the question is, is it hose that is ment to be exactly 1m long? cos i've got about 1.5cm of it on the garage floor.

yup, the throttle to ECU small bore vacuum pipe should be exactly 1m long according to VW... If you take much off it, your engine will run like a dog... :?
