wiring help

Recommended Posts

okay has anyone got a wiring diagram for the G60 if so can you help identify a wire for me

if you were to turn the fuse box round and look at the back of it there is a series of multi-plugs

top right hand corner third plug in it has 5 wires in it

black with a blue trace

brown with a blue trace

brown

purple with a blue trace

red with a yellow trace

i need to know what the red with a yellow trace does as with out a live supply up it you cannot turn off the engine. there is a spur wire tapped into it and pushed into a relay slot on the front of the fuse box. i tried to remove the multi-plug but is stuck tight so can anyone help please

The red/yellow could be the feed to the fuel pump perhaps. Does it go up and then down behind the carpet towards the sill?

Can yopu tell us the plug number/letter?

You know that you have to slide a clip across before you can get the mulitplugs out?

That plug letter would make all the difference. The Bentley manual says what each one does and has pictures.

Blue/black is power to spoiler switch amongst other things.

Brown/blue is from-to fuel gauge sender.

red/yellow defo power to the fuel pump

brown is earth for fuel pump

purple/blue is the other side of the gauge sender

Although none of that info explains your problem. But it has all the right colours so must be the right loom.

The wires in plug M are all outputs. When I get in I'll have another look. Obviously the red/yellow comes from the fuel pump relay but I'll confirm details after tea.

relay 12, bottom right hand is the fuel pump relay, the source for the red/yellow.switching for that comes from the Digifant ECU.

I'll take the bentley to work and scan the pages and email them to you. Much easier I think.

Cheers
