fuel pressure

Recommended Posts

ok it seems like everytime i speed up in my corrado (h reg 1.8 kr) the petrol gauge increases up to the point where it should really be but then when i slow down the petrol gauge drops aswell but not completely, what could this be , aslo the under car fuel pump is getting quite noisy acn hear it outside when car is running, i'm thinking its gonna be some sort of fuel pressure regulator, do i have one and where is it? should i also change the fuel filter at the same time. :?:

thanks Bobby:D

I think that you have got an voltage problem... :?

Are you getting a stable +12v voltage?

It only happens when you speed up?

Weird... :!:

yeah only when revs are increased so not really when i speed up, can make it go up from just holding down the accelerator down on idle, i'm thinking its a pressure problem of some sort. :|

if it's only when the revs change, you have a problem with your voltage regulator somewhere... probably the one on the clocks themselves, but it could be the one on the alternator... Worth checking both with a multimeter... 8)

sounds like it could be the one on the alternator as i'm having battery charging problems aswell, how do i go about checking that the alternater is charging. also the other day the petrol can light came on for a couple of seconds and was beeping so i put my foot down and it went out :? (i had half a tank of petrol in) sounds like either pressure or battery charge is running low to me :?: .

any help is appreciated thanks Bobby

The red light on the dash board with a can symbol under it?!? That's the OIL PRESSURE warning!!! There is no low petrol warning lamp on a Corrado!

Check your oil level ASAP to make sure you've got enough oil in there! :?
