Sat at the traffic lights today and suddenly the water temp shot up steam was coming out the expansion tank, water was pooring all over the road and the fan motor burnt out. Was a strong fish like smell as well Safe to say I'm rather concerned. First thoughts are thermostat and or head gasket There's no gunk under the cap and no oil in the water which is making me think it's less likely to be the head gasket....I hope It's a 2.0 16v Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
