Number plate fixing

Right I am going to change the plates on my 16v as the previous owner decided to put these really gay ones on with "VW Corrado 16v" on them.

 

I want the completely plain ones and to attach them without using the screws. Whats best and where do you get it. Velcro strips?

i used dbl sided sticky pads.........never had a problem yet with them :wink:

Autosave in aberdeen.........i would imagine most good car accesory shops would also stock them

I don't like the idea of using velcro... I'd be worried some muppet's gonna pull 'em off... :?

 

If you can just pull a plate off that's held on with number plate tape, I wouldn't argue with ya! ;)

You can use the double sided tape used to stick badges etc on from Halfords or similar place.

Halfords sell proper number plate sticky-fixer things - just look in the part of the store where the plates are made up

There are 2 different thicknesses too, 1mm and 6mm. HTH
