Blown 0 Posted April 8, 2003 Does any one have an early model(91-92)G60 that has a B+M short shift kit fitted? If so can you tell me how you removed the neutral adjustment pin,as mine hits the lip of the transmission tunnel, and I have to remove a bolt holding the gear shift unit as well the because the pin won't get past that either. :? (and also can anyone explain what an SLC corrado is?) Thanks.
julesz 0 Posted April 8, 2003 SLC is Sports Luxury Coupe. The US version of the VR6 i believe
Blown 0 Posted April 8, 2003 Ahhh......thanks,it was beginning to bug me cos I'd never heard of it before. Now,just for the kit...........
G60 0 Posted April 8, 2003 no idea about the kit.. but julesz is right, SLC = VR6 corrado in the states.. that was the only place they badged them SLC and they are no different than other north american VR6s.. 2.8L.. not 2.9L like you guys were lucky enough to get. scottgroovez 0 Posted April 8, 2003 You'll either need to cut the lip slightly or drop the exhaust and remove the shifter mech from underneath
Blown 0 Posted April 8, 2003 Thanks m8.I was hoping that that wouldn't be what I'd have to do,but I suppose that's why it's called modifying :pale:

Chris VR6nos 0 Posted April 16, 2003 Has anyone made a quickshift? It's not too hard and works really well, and costs sod all!
Joe M 0 Posted April 16, 2003 How much did the sc kit cost if you dont mind me asking, ive seen its $3500 on the VF Site. Did you go for stage 1 or higher? And does the fitting look as easy as they say it is?
Blown 0 Posted April 16, 2003 hi there Blown, is that 'cos you have a supercharger or something completelt different? I have just received my Vortech supercharger for my VR6 from VF-Engineering USA and it's all shiny and nice :D :D :D HEhe! Yeah,it's cos I have a G60.Comes with a charger as standard  although some who know me,might say it's cos of the way I drive-in an attempt to "blow"the engine  Had it breathed on by Jabbasport via Star Performance in Glenrothes.Stage four, chipped, jetex induction kit(soon to be junked in favour of a Jabba kit)performance 'zorst.Dyno'd at 183bhp.Trying to get it to at least 200  Looked into a VR when I was looking for a new car but that was 5yrs ago and it was out of my price range
Chris VR6nos 0 Posted April 18, 2003 Blown, the VR's are becoming scarely cheap at the moment and are 190bhp before you touch then and mine gets an effortless 34mpg & higher on the motorway! Mad for a 2.9 V6 but good and the noise well nuff said although mine is different withe the Vortech charger and even more interesting! 8) Joe, I got the Stage I kit but am waiting for the Stage II parts to come next week :D Also got an Ultra-lite flywheel to make it rev like a motorbike. About £3k ukp will buy the kit, remenber you have to add 1mport duty then vat then handling & package charges to that here in the UK :? Fitting is good fun and if you start on a Saturday morning you should be out thrashing ppl on the Saturday night Woo-Hoo!
