Needs tax mot and insurance. Has to be towed with a suitable vehicle and a rigid bar from my understanding.

Best get a flat bed transit or trailer

It's pain but yes tax mot and insurance. There are ways round it. For example if you get it insured or have a cover that will allow you to drive another car that's not insured. Not many companies use that loophole anymore. You could book an mot the take it there and get away with no tax or mot. But if its not driveable it won't pass and mot and then it's false economy. If you tow it you don't have to use a fixed bar as long as you don't go on motorways. Best to get a transporter hire unless you know someone with a trailer. Have a look on eBay for car transporter. There are loads over the country. Example : one company charges £40 for first 15 miles then £1.20 for every mile after that so you know what it's tonne cost you in advance.
