Hofmiester 10 Posted November 11, 2012 Hi guys, My car has some kind of nasty chrome effect tint applied to the windows, the back window is hard to see through as it makes the glass blurry and also out of my two front side windows, only one has the tint applied (looks like one window was replaced) and the one that has tint, has a nick in it. I'm thinking of removing the tint but no idea how easy that would be?
VW_OwneR_85 2 Posted November 11, 2012 the glue residue left behind is a bugger to remove, industrial tar and glue remover makes easy work of it though, also heat up the area with a hair dryer or heatgun and it should peel off alot easier,
Hofmiester 10 Posted November 11, 2012 That's what I figured, use a heat gun or hair dryer and then solvent on the glass. My big fear though is the boot glass as the heater element may get damaged?
