tony_ack 0 Posted November 20, 2012 My fuel gauge never reads full even when it is. I thought I was running on vapours before I filled up today, but it only took 60 litres, despite the gauge being in the white line below the red line. I have searched and it looks like the in-tank sender is adjustable. Can it be adjusted in-situ without removing the pump? Any idea how to calibrate it, other than just trial and error? Critical_Mass 10 Posted November 20, 2012 I know the sender on the VDO sender has a knob on top to adjust it and is accessible without removing the tank ... no idea about how to calibrate it though.
davidwort 0 Posted November 20, 2012 If the variable resistor is worn there might not be much you can do about it, I used a mk3 golf sender and float which are a totally different shape to the corrado one as the tank is different, just bent the arm and with a bit of trial and error it reads just fine :)
