Parka 10 Posted January 6, 2013 Hi all I'm new to the forum and looking for advise on how to and where to get from an after market gearbox cooler, I've recently purchased my first vr6 although have worked on lots of vw's in the past, it appears that the auto gearbox cooler is leaking which seems to be causing harsh gear change from third to fourth, I've checked all other stuff and changed oil n strainer but to no avail, after looking at top of gearbox there appears to be coolant sitting around, any way what I would like to do is replace the standard cooler with after market one which there seems to be lots about, but I'm not too sure what else I will need besides the cooler, and also would I have to blank anything off on the gear box.
