fan control module

hi people

my fan control relay has gone and needs replacing as when the engine gets hot the fans come on but dont turn off

any idears on where too buy them from other than vw or scrapys

also was told that there was a recall kit for them too be upgraded from a 10 pin too a 14 pin but my local vw doesnt know anything about it:scratch:

Suggest asking sone of the people in the cars breaking section. One of them is bound to have a spare.

There are four different types so make sure you get the right one! Not sure what the differences are but my fans have never worked right and I'm not sure I have the right one fitted...

thanks for the info mate the part number i have off the old one is 1H0919506

i never new there was 4 varriations of it lol . my vr also has the aftermarket davia aircon as well so would i need the 3A0919506 one or just stick too the original part number one i had in before as it all worked fine untill it went:scratch:

If you know it works, stick with it! Don't start chopping and changing until things have gone weird... ;)
