timthetinyhorse 0 Posted January 15, 2013 Simple question to be fair. I've repaired my splitter but need to fit it but don't have the fittings. Are they still available from the dealer or do I need to make something?? Cheers Rob
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 15, 2013 Not sure if they're available from the stealers. But even if you have to make something, its just a strip of metal along the front that sandwiches the splitter to the bumper... nothing special. Just buy the bolts. timthetinyhorse 0 Posted January 15, 2013 Ah that could be the stumbling block then as I don't have the metal strip I don't think unless it's still attached to the bumper.......I will have to take a look
nrc 0 Posted January 15, 2013 The proper screws are still available from the dealer but a full set will cost you about £20! Annoyingly the Golf MkIII ones don't fit.
dumptyboy 0 Posted January 15, 2013 I have the metal joining strip if you need one, it's has slight rust but is still solid. Or I can take a picture if you like so that you can copy from it if you decided to make one?
timthetinyhorse 0 Posted January 15, 2013 Dumpty your a fair distance from me but if I find that I need one I will give you a shout if that's cool?? Can't wait to have the rado on the road for summer! Only drove it for one month before I took it off the road.
dumptyboy 0 Posted January 15, 2013 No worries mate. I recon postage would only be around £5. Let me know if you don't manage to get one and we will sort something out maybe. Cheers mate.
