How did you fit your splitter

Simple question to be fair.

 

I've repaired my splitter but need to fit it but don't have the fittings.

 

Are they still available from the dealer or do I need to make something??

Not sure if they're available from the stealers. But even if you have to make something, its just a strip of metal along the front that sandwiches the splitter to the bumper... nothing special. Just buy the bolts.

Ah that could be the stumbling block then as I don't have the metal strip I don't think unless it's still attached to the bumper.......I will have to take a look

The proper screws are still available from the dealer but a full set will cost you about £20! Annoyingly the Golf MkIII ones don't fit.

I have the metal joining strip if you need one, it's has slight rust but is still solid. Or I can take a picture if you like so that you can copy from it if you decided to make one?

Just to let you know also mate that it seems this part is still available from the stealers:

 

Part number: 535 807181

Front splitter/spoiler reinforcement plate.

About £30 apparently.

How did you find out that gem of info, I had considered calling the parts dept but thought they would be closed.....
