VW Motorsport VSR... how was it originally sold?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how one went about getting the VWM VSR originally. Were they sold as an option when you bought the car at the dealer, or was it something you bought seperately?

I prefer the look of the schrick

Each to their own, VSR keeps the engine looking stock with covers etc which looks better in my view.....not into pimp ;)

I'd love to know where mine ended up, it was marked as no 252

Would like to know what they cost. So was a 'tick' option on the options list then? Any idea what years they were available, etc?

On my old VR6 it had been purchased new from VAG in Germany and added to the car. I think the invoice was for around £1400 plus then it needed to be mapped by AMD at another £500.

where is the number stamped on them?

It is actually a sticker, it is on the side of the section with VSR text cast in, probably long gone on most by now. Mine was all rough cast apart from the face around the text which i polished by hand.

Sticker is just on the front there, to the right of the logo
