hi does anyone have a spare speedo calbe for an early (90) 1.8 16v please mines just given up on me :(

No sorry mate,

the only other thing you could try is to get the newer style cluster and the speedo sensor,

out of a later gearbox and adapt them to fit,

it might just work at least then you wouldn't need a speedo cable ever again :idea:

You may need though some of the wirring loom off a later Corrado, say 1993 onwards.

no worries thanks anyway am trying to avoid going down the swap over route as i like the early dash pod :) i have a few other things to try like seeing if i cann get mine recabled but was hoping to get the "easy" fix a go first :)

Have you tried a speedo cable repair kit ?

 

there's one on Ebay, item number 200891465971

 

 

Or there's a new 1.3 MK2 Golf cable on Ebay, item number 310580235515 it might fit the Corrado my be ???

as the MK2 Golf and Corrado use similar parts.

cheers Si have tried the 1.3 golf one apart from it is too long it fitted but lasted about three days as it wont route properly hadnt seen the repair kit may give that a go have also just found a company who will repair or make me a new one but many thanks for taking the time to look it all up for me
