Anyone know if 1990 Passat seats fit in a Mk11 Golf?

passat seats are for 5 door though, so they won't go into a 3 door golf... you're sorted if it's a 5 door though... 8)

Henny - are they too wide for a 3 door golf ? Dont understand why 5 dr Passat seats wont fit into a 3 dr Mk11 if they fit into the 5 dr Mk11 Golf?

the Passat seats won't have the tilt knob on the side of them so you won't be able to let people into the back of the car... not a problem with a 5 door Golf, but a pain in the arse with a 3 door! ;) :lol:

you can adapt 5 door VW seats to have the lever to release the backs, but it's a lot of hassle for the sake of just buying some 3 door seats! ;)

The seats in the late big bumper golfs are actually Passat seats AFAIK, hence the seat bast is wider than the previous pre-big bumper ones.

I tried to fit a pair of front seats from a Passat (not sure which model they came from) but the runners were too wide, I suppose if I had the time/money/equipment I could have made them fit. Pity, they were nice :(
