VWVW 1 Posted February 27, 2013 I ve had this problem on my old Mk3 golf before. The way to remove the locking wheel nut was to hammer in a smaller size socket around the nut and hope that would be tight enough to allow you turn the old locking wheel nut out. ollielawson 0 Posted March 1, 2013 If you have the key number you can order a new key from VW. It should be with the service book but not many Cs have this pack now! Failing that any tyre place (decent, not kwik fit) should be able to remove it
CazzaVR 0 Posted March 1, 2013 Irwin bolt grippers will get it off in seconds.

CazzaVR 0 Posted March 1, 2013 Glad it's sorted. Those Tri-locks are a terrible design!
