SamG40 0 Posted March 27, 2013 They havent got any VR heads left. Sold the last ones to forum members when I asked last month. They quoted me £445 +vat +£20 postage to refurb my head. Supercharged 2 Posted March 27, 2013 A mate fitted one to a Vento VR (a complete unit) - was almost silent on idle and hardly used any oil once run-in, was as good as a new VAG unit really! Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 27, 2013 Yup i think i got the second to last engine in 2008, the last one was my old returned engine. Shame really cos its been spot on since its been fitted and has covered about 50k with no issues at all and less than quoted oil consumption. The engine was £1900.
