chaps,

ive recently joined the rado community by buying a 90' corrado, looking under the dash there is a bit of wiring that doesnt look oem/old, as there is nothing that appears non stock on the rest of the car (except the radio) im a bit confused as to what this is. pictures below: (any help appreicated)

appears to be a fuse box:

couple of unplugged wires:

few pictures showing the blakc wire (inbetween the red lines) that goes accross the dash/steerwign wheel loom off in to the car, i assume the blue wire is a remote line to a sub?

if anyone has seen anything like this before let me know, on a final not there doesnt seem to be any wiring going into the engine bay i.e. it all looks stock in there.

Sam.

I've no idea what that is, as you say could be related to a previous ice install. I wouldn't worry about the disconnected plugs if everything is working okay, I'm sure my vr has some oddments like that. To be certain what that wiring is for you're going to have to trace it I think. Take off the under dash panels both sides and see if you can figure out where it goes. Are you sure everything else is original, no options added later?

yeah there's a few unused plugs around the fusebox, one on the 16v will be the feed up from the non-existent oil pressure sensor for the optional gauges, other's are just spare switched feeds etc, just parts of the general loom set aside for options when the car was new.

your other wires could be anything, black insulation wrapped ones are often from immobilisers or alarm systems.
