finn78-uk 10 Posted April 25, 2013 Hi, Just joined so a big hello first off. Now, bought my G60 a few months back and now approaching warmer weather need to rearrange pipework. Previous owner has put in a huuuuge intercooler bumper side of radiator. It's so wide that everything behind it has been moved further back into the engine bay, meaning that the factory fitted rad fan had to be replaced with a smaller one. The smaller one is so small that if it is led by the temp sensor then it will not be strong enough to cool the engine back down from this point. It is run manually off a switch in the cockpit so I need to keep an eye on the temperature and preempt traffic problems! I was hoping to get some input as to what I'd need to revert back to factory standard. Also, is there any way on knowing if they have upgraded the s-charger as I don't know why on earth they've put such a massive intercooler in. It's almost the width of the engine bay. They've got an oil cooler where the factory intercooler should be so this needs to be moved/removed too. Grrrr. Cheers for any input. I tried to get some pics but it's too hard to see what's going on in them. Finn
owen g60 10 Posted April 25, 2013 I have the factory inter cooler pipes. May have the inter cooler too. You will need to get a RSR outlet if you don't already have one and a radiator fan and surround.
finn78-uk 10 Posted April 25, 2013 I've seen a few on ebay but they appear to all be different shapes/lengths! Don't know what RSR outlet means :( I have the original radiator fan and surround, it's just that they're not fitted anymore. How much would you ask for the pipework and cooler (if you have one). Thanks for the response. Finn
