mr.ots 10 Posted June 6, 2013 During the C's MOT in April I was given an advisory for corroded rear brake pipes so I thought I would fabricate some new ones in Kunifer. After numerous failed attempts at producing a decent 4.75mm DIN flare with a flaring bar I bought one of these: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=271187213440 Its a superb tool and produces perfect flares every time. you can see it in action here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ncMRlomyqTs I guess a lot of C's are in need of replacement brake pipes now so for those who want to have a go at making your own this is the perfect tool for the flaring job. It would also be useful for small repairs as it can be used on the car as opposed to the vice mounted type where you would need to remove the complete pipe.
