Fuel Pump Seal

Recommended Posts

Here's hoping someone can assist.

My Corrado is sitting up in my mechanics garage awaiting a part.

Unfortunately he cannot locate it - VW say they no longer provide.

Its for a 1.8 16V KR.

According to my mechanic this is the part no - N90223802. It is an 'o' ring rubber seal. Not sure if this is generic and can get one from gsf etc

Anyone able to advise where I can get this?

Looked up that part number and you get the size of 53x5.3mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140730954619

try these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NITRILE-RUBBER-O-RINGS-5MM-DIAMETER-C-S-VARIOUS-SIZES-FROM-33MM-ID-TO-62MM-ID-/321049528613?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item4ac00b0925

just check they are fuel capable

your mechanic should be able to measure and order the correct one

N90223802 is the 59x5.3mm one, as is used on cars with a 60mm fuel pump, it looks like they have only just stopped doing this as I bought one a few months ago.

The 53x5.3mm one is for those PL engined Mk2 Golf 16v that we didnt get here, as they run a smaller 52mm pump, and would have been part number N90262802.

Thanks for the replies. Mechanic has found more problems. so now trying to locate the fuel pump, fittings and the fuel pump accumulator.

Anyone got any ideas - stealers no longer do them.

I believe that the MK2 golf would have a similar system for the 1.8KR.

Anyone able to confirm this and know where to purchase?

I've just removed the complete 'in tank 'fuel pump from my 1994 2 litre 8v Mk3 Golf Cabby due to a VR6 transplant which requires a higher pressure pump. The original was working perfectly when removed. Not sure if it is suitable for your car or not but check the photos below and see if they look familiar. There is an outlet and inlet and a four pin electrical connector on top of the pump. Part number is 1H0 919 0511

PM me if it's any good.
