Rhetro 10 Posted June 19, 2013 Hello! Noobie, here. Looking to finally start fixing up my VR6, regretfully she's been in neglect. Anyway, my exterior door handle on the driver's side doesn't work. You pull it, and nothing happens. It's in the shop right now, and my mechanic says I need a new door handle; the frame on the inside has cracked. I understand that there are Passat conversions for this sort of thing. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks! Glad I'm here. Purple Tom 0 Posted June 19, 2013 Hi, welcome to the forum! This is a very common problem with the Corrado and you don't need a new door handle, you need a repair piece which is manufactured by 'Daves16V', a member on the site. Here's a link to this page: Click Here They're pretty easy to fit and save you buying a new handle, which is entirely unnecessary. Hope that helps - enjoy the forum too :) Tom
Rhetro 10 Posted June 19, 2013 Tom! Thanks for the warm welcome! I wasn't sure exactly what was needed, but I appreciate the link! I will take a peak at it myself, and forward it to my mechanic! Cheers! See you around.
