abs vagcom

Hi

I took my 93 vr6 too get plugged into vagcom yesterday and we could talk too the engine no problems but when trying too talk too the abs system we had no joy . I got told it could.possibly be a abs pump itself what. Has gone or the ecu.has anyone any idears on the solution as it needs mot next month but wont pass due too abs light staying on

Could also anyone tell me if part number 358614117 abs pump will fit the vr6 as. Mine is part number 358614217 which I believe is off a mk3 golf vr6

To get vagcom to communicate with the ABS ECU you will need to set the latency to 5 for the com port you are using. Go into device manager on your pc and under ports select the port you are using for Vagcom and I think you have to go into advanced settings and change the latency setting to 5. This should cure the problem.

Yes the 358614217 part is from a golf and isn't interchangeable with the Corrado.
