OBD2 head fitting to OBD1 block.....funny pipe

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm in the process of getting the corrado put back together after the head gasket went (cracked head)

I have an obd2 head off a late VR6 to go on but there is a slight difference, on the new head there is a pipe below the intake manifold that has some sort of valve attached to it, this then goes through the head and into the block. My original head does not have this. Is it possible to just blank this off? The pipe was full of suit and oil residue so I'm presuming it's some sort of ERG valve or something along those lines?

I may have posted this before so if I have sorry in advance but I can't remember.

Any help would be great as I would like to get the head fitted today, this car has been off the road for far too long now so I want to get it taxed at the start of the month and ready to roll :-)

Thanks.

Problem solved, google tells me it's the SAI pump and I can block it off :-)
