Brando 0 Posted May 13, 2004 It's getting impossible to change gear.... way past stiff. I have a new slave cyliner to go on that I am going to try and fit tomorrow. But it's getting beyond. I've de-gunked it with wd40 and greased the linkage but even that hasn't helped :( It's got really bad over the last 2 days I am having to force the gears which I hate doing, even double clutching doesn't help or reving when down shifting. When the clutch is down there is an odd wearing noise and a sqeauk when it is lifted up, any ideas guys?? Got enough crap going on with work and stuff, don't need the c to break
Supercharged 2 Posted May 13, 2004 Change the gearbox oil, look for hydraulic leaks and you may need to get the shift cables adjusted.
kvwloon 0 Posted May 13, 2004 If it's got suddenly worse it suggests to me hydraulic problem, so I'd think you are on the right lines by changing the slave cylinder first off. Here's hoping....
Brando 0 Posted May 13, 2004 Yeah it's suddenly got a lot worse over the last 24 hours. It's booked in for a full service and fluid change a week monday... But I need to get it to and fro work tomorrow and next week. Hoping with new GB oil and new mt90 brake fluid (+ new slave) it will all be sorted. Cheers for ur help guys, if anyone can think of anything else to try please let me know! (the brake fluid level seems to be ok and I recont he squeaking is coming from the slave cylinder so it may well be leaking internally!)
