G60 parts discontinued. Help!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of cleaning up a G60 engine from a Corrado to fit in my Mk1 Golf and notice that the crank v belt pulley and vibration damper are pretty rusted up. I want to replace them with new parts but the damper is discontinued and there are 2 part numbers for the v belt pulley 037105255A ribbed belt pulley / F >> 50-L-015 902*

037105255 ribbed belt pulley / F 50-L-015 903>>*

VW are telling me 037105255 was discontinued in April this year. 037105255A is available but I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2. What options do I have?

Cheers

Rich

It's an aftermarket part.

I've been running one for about 5000 miles now with no ill effects.

It gets rid of the dampener as the aux pulley and pas pulley are all one unit.

Both gruven parts and bar-tek list them from what I can see.

Not cheap but better than the £500+ I was looking at from heritage.

Is that not for the complete pulley set?

Unless prices have rocketed.

There used to be a seller on eBay who listed them as for an 8v engine... Think these are the same thing.
