Poppin tags! I mean indicator relays

Recommended Posts

It seems my C really does know how to wind me up, with ongoing central lock issues and of course rattles.

My c has now decided to use indicator relays are a consumables!

I guess This first happened when fitting my uprated wiring loom and noticed my indicator fuse blown. Replaced fuse and then hazards or indicators wouldn't work after, instead no.21 relay would just buzz. So after a few days I bought a brand new relay from tps, fitted new relay, joy I have indicators that work! I then fitted lower dash trim parts tried hazards again and they don't work, relays popped again ogh fandabbydozee!

Any help before I torch it?

And taking the uprated wiring loom out isn't a option, that's been a pain the arse in itself to get my headlights to work!

Hey, did you manage to fix this problem? My Corrado is now doing the same, indicator relay is burning out instantly. Fuses & wiring have all been checked, vagcom reader used & no faults found, voltmeter has been used to test volts etc, everything seems fine. I've been told it may be the Immobiliser? :bonk:

Yeh my problem was down to dodgey wiring on multiple wires, the owner before just used scotch locks on everything! So I just repaired any dodgey wiring with proper soldered joints and heat shrink. It's somehow managed to fix the problem.

Sorry for not having the exact answer for. All I'd recommend is maybe check any suspect wiring, I'm by no means a sparky or anything so I don't have a clue when it comes to electrics haha.

Sorry
