no dash lights

hi

 

got a problem that happened this weekend i was looking under the dashboard for a 12 volt connection to connected my boost gauge to but gave up as i had to go out.

 

now ive got no lights on my dash board so its very difficult to see how fast etc im goin in the dark. ive had a look around but cant see anything obvious any ideas much appreciated.

 

just a quick other q, where can i get a badgeless grill from thats not to expensive, for a

1990 g60

blown fuse?

 

when i hooked up my boost guage, i used the power from my horn fuse. that way it has constant power. same deal with my air/fuel one.

you may have shorted a wire behind the dials you were trying to fit... it'll be a blue wire with a grey stripe IIRC.... 8)

 

Check your fuse box as well, as I'm pretty sure there is a fuse for these bulbs too...

its definatly not the dimmer s/w it was 1one of the first things i checked

most of the wire colours on VWs are standard from car to car, and seeing as I've been messing with VWs for the best part of 13 years, you get to know some of the more common ones... 8)

 

oh, and which row on the ECU connector? ;) :p
