Goldie 2 Posted December 13, 2013 The spring loaded catch mounted on the underside of the bonnet? If so i don't know how to strip it down but it can still be bought (classic parts) if you fancy a new one. I think it can be plated while still complete and not affect the plastic parts.. diarmaid16 1 Posted December 13, 2013 I think it would involve drilling to separate the two parts of the hinge. And then there's the problem of putting it back together!
