g-spott 0 Posted May 21, 2004 does anyone know how hard it is to build it.And what parts do i need(mk2 or passat)
vr6storm 0 Posted May 21, 2004 you need to speak to biggerbigben on this forum i believe.............although his is 20v 1.8T powered instead of the 8v G-lader 1.
Henny 0 Posted May 21, 2004 PhatVR6 also has this planned for his car and will be worth talking too as long as you are serious about this modification... 8)
g-spott 0 Posted May 25, 2004 I looked around for an donor verhicle but i can't find one for a decent price so i'll have to wait til i bump in to one..  I also looked on this site that's al little bit of help http://home.wanadoo.nl/simonvos/
PhatVR6 0 Posted May 26, 2004 http://www.vwsyncro.co.uk http://www.dutchdub.com It's all on there, but have fun trying to source the parts. I have a jetta sycnro for sale, but ChrisP off here is meant to be having it. although if he doesn't come and get it soon I'll be cutting it up. I also have a jetta syncro floorpan in the shed too. and a brand new syncro floorpan to go in my corrado.
ghee60 0 Posted May 26, 2004 i didnt think the jetta syncro running gear is strong enough for big power
NormanCoal 0 Posted May 26, 2004 Phatty means for the floorpan But you are right, regular syncro stuff wont cope with G60 power Be up soon Paul, dont you go cutting that one up too
rmn 0 Posted May 27, 2004 I am sorry to bring this up but, does anybody know if the modern 4wd system, like from the 4 motion etc will fit? This after giving me ideas for a car that needs a rebuild anyway
PhatVR6 0 Posted May 27, 2004 it can be made to fit, but it's by no means easy. CoxyLaad is putting a 24v V6 4 motion is his corrado, so keep an eye out for that one.
rmn 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Cool, thanks The main parts needed are the rear floor and mounts suspension from a rallye/syncro mk2 right?
PhatVR6 0 Posted May 27, 2004 and the prop, and the gearbox, and the vaccum system, and the wiring loom for the rear diff, fuel tank, etc, etc, etc
rmn 0 Posted May 27, 2004 so for instance if i were to get a golf syncro shell and loom, i could use a lot of this as a base? All i need(like thats a small amount) is to get the mechanical parts :?: I see a trip to Germany coming into the equation! How does the passat underside compare to the corrado? COuld i use the passat syncro parts?
