Strange Fuse Situation

Hi

I was driving home the other day and my stereo powered off - then I noticed that the rear demister which was also on had cut out. When I got home checked both fuses and the demister 20 amp had blown but the radio fuse looked OK. Replaced the 20 amp and everything was fine. As an an experiment I pulled out the demister fuse again and sure enough the stereo would not power on! How and why would they be linked? - any thoughts?
