sankysvr6 0 Posted February 7, 2014 Its probably been asked a dozen times before by now, but I couldn't find an answer. My G60 has been in the garage since last September, I did an oil change and filled the fuel tank 3/4 full and few other bits before storage. I am wanting to know what is the best way to go about starting the car. A. Remove the lead from the ignition coil, then turn the car over a few times with the key. Refit and start the car. B. Remove power from the ignition coil, then as above. Or is there another better way of doing this. The car has been fitted with a battery conditioner, whilst it has been in sat in the garage. Tempest 0 Posted February 7, 2014 I typically take the ignition lead from the coil and ground it, pull the fuel pump relay (don't want to flood the engine), then crank the engine a few times to get some oil circulation going prior to a proper start with everything connected up again.
