surely you can slide the motor out and fit into a rhd casing? - I've taken them apart before, takes a bit of ingenuity to remove the fan but it's perfectly possible. I'm assuming the motor spins in the same direction, from memory the fan blades look to face the same way.

 

just checked, LHD is a mirror image of the rhd version, so the fan blades are reversed and the motor must spin the other way - bu99er!

Correct David, I planned to have a go at swapping it but I have 2 new VAG RHD ones so seems a shame to potentially break this... I know there are a few on here with LHD cars but then again most will have AirCon too.

Thanks both for confirming the difference. Supercharged - have you plans for both of your new RHD ones?

I'm keeping them as spares mate - you should be able to get a RHD one new though for not much more than the price above...

 

Go to a Valeo dealer (usually much cheaper than Euro / GSF) and quote 698031 which is RHD
