Wheel and corrisponding tyre widths that will fit

Been wondering if my 205 tyres will fit 8 inch rims, the only info I have found is....

Is the above info good? Looks like my 205's will fit the 8's at a stretch!

Those specs are not very accurate, for instance mk4 polo steelies are about 5 inches wide and come with 155's also bmw x5 sports come with 10 x 20's and have 315's on. so their not not really accurate either way.

 

I'm runnin 205/40/16's on my 9" x 16"'s. The 205's will fit the eights easy but won't be that stretched :)

Yeah those specs are bullsh1t. Although I'd say your 205s will go in 8 inch rims no problem...
