Carl 0 Posted June 11, 2004 OK, been in for MOT he says exhaust is blowin from front area. He says get some1 else to do the work(!?). OK I go else where, guy fixes a clamp and link and says theres no other leaks from front around manifold etc. He then managed to pinpoint an area where gas appears to be blowining from. Here are the pics... PIC1 PIC2 This appears to be the leak. Hot gases coming out of the blackened vent in the rubber valve(?) What is this pipe? Why is gas coming out of it? W3RKD 0 Posted June 11, 2004 hello there, the part in your pic will have gases coming through the leaking/busted end cap as this is where vw take the co readings from. to cure this get yourself down to vag and order up a new one of those blue caps there not expensive and this will cure your problems...
