Kev_VR6 0 Posted March 13, 2015 Hi guys, Just bought myself some of this sound proofing from Heritage (having missed the group buy a couple of years ago). https://www.vwheritage.com/search/?act=search.searchResults&sType=quick&maxDisplayRows=15&searchText=Corrado+bonnet+sound+proofing&btnSearch= Wondered if anyone has used it on their car on here, and to what degree of success? I'm not very happy with the quality of it tbh. Looks nothing like the original stuff... Visible side is black, dimpled vinyl, and underside looks like old-fashioned padding made using recycled, beige string. Can't see it suiting the Corrado at all. Would look more at home on a Triumph Herald! I'm thinking of returning it and continuing to look around for a suitable alternative... One of the guys on here has found a good quality replacement and there's a group buy has been organised. All the sets are spoken for but you could maybe buy straight from supplier. I bought mine a few weeks ago direct from him... It was 80 euro delivered. Send the heritage stuff back, I know a few have as it's not up to spec. davidwort 0 Posted March 19, 2015 alternatively, I've used this stuff recently to improve the underbonnet insulation on a diesel, it doesn't have the small square cutout surface of the OEM foam but it is good quality, fireproof foam with an excellent adhesive backing 25mm thick 1m x 1m is £38 delivered (equivalent to about 50 Euros if you compare to the 80 Euros for the ready cut kit from the Group Buy) you'd need to cut to size for each bonnet section http://www.efoam.co.uk/fireseal-class-0-acoustic-foam.php Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
