Windows not working?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new to the site so bear with me.

Got a 91 1.8 16v which I'm working my way round and the thing yhat I need help with is the location of the control module for the electric windows?

Every thread I've read says it should be behind the drivers seat in the trim panel but there's no sign of it in mine?

I've looked under both seats, near the fuse box, in the boot and all the normal places but no sign?

Both electric windows don't work and was bought like that, switches seem ok but I have tried spare switches and have both door cards off at the mo.

I have a control unit from good old eBay but just need to plug it in somewhere.

Any helps appreciated.

The Control Module on mine is behind what is basically the rear drivers side door card trim thingy (the plastic panel under the rear window). You need to get the whole trim off to get a good look at it as its in the middle pretty much. Take the whole thing off if you can to reduce the risk of snapping or bending some of the clips

Thanks for that , but that's where I meant everyone else's is but mine isn't?

I had both sides off but not even a trace of wiring to say it had been there.
