door handle help required

ive just bought a g60 corrado and the door handles are knackered

 

they seem to have lost the springiness in them and dont open the doors

 

any ideas?

Very common problem. Striking pin breaks off. Handle doesn't work.

 

New handles required.

is there no way they can be repaired coz they are bloody expensive :(

not sure yet, bit of lowering, rims, fix the charger n the bloody door handles :)

yeah will de-lock them no good if you dont have fob for unlocking...

If you can do a golf, you can do a Corrado... ;) 8)

 

If you go de-locked, you'll need an alarm which interfaces to the central locking (which is standard on all UK Corrados) so that you can lock and unlock the car... It's useful to not de-lock the boot though, so you can still get in with a key if the central locking/battery ever packs up! ;)

 

By all accounts it's pretty easy to do the Passat handle swap, but I've yet to get my ass in gear and get it done to mine... :oops:
