PAS fluid overflowing from res

Hi all,

 

Had a messy looking pas reservoir for the last couple of days and today I noted that my pump is making dodgy noises.

 

Could I be overheating the fluid due to my new downpipe being close, would this cause such symptoms?

 

Is my pump foofed?

 

Any othe suggestions? Or anyone had a similar situation?

thats exactly what i thought was going on with mine after i did the 24v swap as it was fine up until it was warmed up, then doing three point turns etc it would whine real bad, but it was down to me re-filling with vw green fluid which is a lot lighter then the red stuff that was in mine originally, have since put on the 24v pump and refilled with more vw green and all is well :)

but you say its over flowing from the reservoir? i never had that, idd try another pump or maybe fluid related, it does take awhile for it to bleed up , i did mine while the front end was jacked up even after that it still took a decent drive for it to shut up..

Cheers mate. I'm thinking it may be pump so I'll give it a go..... It's been fine for a while and I thought bled up. I've done a few hundred miles since re filling. New pump and a general inspection when I get home. Hope it holds up on circuit de spa tomorrow! :)
