Nweaver87 10 Posted June 13, 2015 Hey everyone I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my corrado. My overheating light is constantly flashing. Unfortunately my temp Gauge doesn't work but the flashing light makes no sense. It's almost always on. Even when I fire up my car for the first time it's on. Does anyone have any suggestions or has had this problem? I just had my water pump replaced and all of the leaks have been taken care of as well. Could it be the heat sensor? davidwort 0 Posted June 13, 2015 expansion tank sensor possibly
Jim 2 Posted June 13, 2015 Have you checked to make sure the cable is connected to the expansion tank? There is a coolant level sensor in there and if this isn't connected properly, the light will flash all the time.
Nweaver87 10 Posted June 13, 2015 I will check that out tomorrow. Thanks for the advice and will let your know what I find. It's weird though. It doesn't constantly flash but when it does it's at weird times and when it wouldn't actually be hot.
Jim 2 Posted June 14, 2015 Might indicate an intermittent signal (bad wiring), the sensor itself (need to replace the expansion tank as it is molded into the plastic!) or could possibly even be the clocks themselves.. Hopefully not them though :)
