Pete 0 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) 1996 Golf Match 1.4 3dr Fantastic car for spares or to be used! This Golf is a family owned car from new, and has had full servicing at VW or local specialist. Starts and runs brilliantly, would make a great candidate for reshelling a GTI or project in desirable 3dr with pop up sunroof. 1.4 manual, 230k so don't expect lightening speed, but it'll happily run around town or cruise on the motorway at 70. The car drives well for its age and miles. 14" alloys, good tyres. One small burn on front seat but had worn seat covers for years so pretty mint, the carpets need a Hoover though and the roof lining fabric is separating from the liner. Loads of receipts, stamped service book, all keys etc. Last service was last summer. No tax and MOT to August. Only thing I think could be picked up is the pads look a bit low. Points to note... The missing reflectors in front bumper is included, the tab has snapped so removed not risk it falling off. Could be glued back. Bit of paint lacquer has come off on the A pillar and around aerial. Rust spots around the door corners are all I can find. Roof rack is not included at the price, but is available within without car for ?60. Price of the car is ?350, but would be breakable for far more. The glass is all good, interior plastic is unmarked, panels are sound, as is the shell, let alone the value of all the trim etc. Sony stereo and speaker upgrade is included too.
