Looking for a project

Recommended Posts

Evening all. I owned a 2.0 16v Corrado many moons ago and always wanted another one but having never owned a vehicle with a supercharger, I've decided my project has to be a G60. The plan is to get an old dog then just spend money on bits and pieces as and when funds are available. I've got a daily driver so this is purely for fun. Eventually it'd be great to think I can bring it back to some sort of former glory. I'm fairly handy with tools and not too afraid to take something to pieces so hopefully I won't just end up with a pile of bits and pieces and no hope of putting it back together. Looking forward to firing some questions at you all when it the new car finally graces my driveway.

*In fact, that nugget yellow shell in the stuff for sale section would be awesome but unfortunately too far away from me.

There is a spares or repair G60 on eBay at the mo for £1800 or best offer

Hi Gregor, yeah I've seen it. Unfortunately i'm not in the position to be able to purchase one just yet. I've got permission from the wife so the hard part is done. Just need to save the pennies! I was really hoping not to spend that much to start with. Will have to see whats available when I have a decent sized handful of cash! :thumbleft:

The G60 tends to make good money even when in need of a little love. A really rough one will pop up now and the but it will be a pup and a complete money pit! Bits are getting harder to find and especially a G60 as they are quite a rare car now!

Yeah I've noticed some parts ars rare as hens teeth. For me, searching for parts far and wide is half the fun. I fully expect to put a fair bit of money and work in but yeah don't want to start with a complete shed. My problem will be restraining myself. Maybe I should raise my sights a little and just not inform the wife of how much it costs initially :ignore: there's one sat on a driveway a few roads over that's been there for ages so might approach the owner to see what's up with it.
