12wgntdi 10 Posted July 11, 2015 Hello all! so long story short I have an opportunity to purchase a 93 Corrado VR6 Distributor model. I currently have a 1991 mk2 jetta with a 2.0 golf gl motor that I just purchased. The mk2 was done like crap and I want to take the whole thing apart and redo it right. The issue with the corrado is that the ECU was determined by a local shop that it was bad. The ECU for the corrado is a CD version and I have tried to locate the same one or a compatible one and they seem to be more expensive. My questions is if I convert the motor to coil pack lets say from a gti or passat. Could I use the ECU and harness from those cars? or I can use the corrado for everything else ( tranny, subframe, interior, etc.) and just buy another 12v vr6 or 24v with ecu, and harness? remember this is getting swapped into a MK2 so I have to remove a lot of stuff anyway.... thanks Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
