krishen 2 Posted July 14, 2015 Managed to get a new bracket (with the rubber attached) but what bolts do I need to attach it to the car? The old hanger bolts are rusted in place so going to have to drill them out and replace with new ones. Any ideas? Thanks.

delfinis38 1 Posted July 15, 2015 Assuming it is that bolt size can I buy it from any hardware shop eg B&Q? sorry dodgy info... just taken one out of mine.(late VR6) its metric M8 thread has a screw thread of 13.5mm, you should be able the drill your old one out and re tap the thread. with M8 tap yes any hardware shop or ebay. I replaced mine with stainless.
krishen 2 Posted July 17, 2015 Hi Just been to B&Q and also screwfix and neither sell them apparently. Smallest they had was 20mm Is the 13.5mm thread the length?
delfinis38 1 Posted July 17, 2015 (edited) Hi Just been to B&Q and also screwfix and neither sell them apparently. Smallest they had was 20mm Is the 13.5mm thread the length? 13.5 is thread length... Do you have an eBay account ? eBay is your friend. These will do.. M8 by 16mm long. It will take the extra length. Or buy longer and cut down. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M5-M6-M8-M10-A2-Stainless-Steel-Flange-Hexagon-Hex-Head-Metric-Bolts-Screws-/150935671186?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item2324779192 Failing that veedub dealer.
