massbad69 10 Posted October 31, 2015 Second piece of advice for tonight please. I have a Storm Grey VR6 and I have bought new calipers and carriers so now need to paint them. Usually I would go with red calipers but I was thinking blue for a change? What do you think ?
Fine wine, Belgian chocs. 1 Posted October 31, 2015 Did mine recently in light gloss grey. They won't go rusty, keep themselves clean, and look almost original (they don't scream at you that they've been painted- so probably not what you had in mind).

Thanks but your right I want them to stand out a bit, I always go red even my mk7 GTD is getting them red soon but fancy a change against the grey car. Fine wine, Belgian chocs. 1 Posted October 31, 2015 http://craftmaster.myshopify.com/collections/engine-enamel/products/car-truck-engines In fact this is exactly what I used. It's beautiful stuff. Far better than any proper caliper paint I've used in the past. I actually bought it to paint my engine block during the rebuild earlier this year. A little tin goes a long way. Jamie 1 Posted October 31, 2015 I wouldn't bother with fancy paints - I've used Smooth Rite for years and never had a problem
Portent 0 Posted October 31, 2015 I'd say either red, shiny black or matt silver, with a preference for silver. Keep it classic imho. But if you do want it showing throuhg then red.
massbad69 10 Posted October 31, 2015 Thanks everyone. I'm going to end up heading for red as usual :bonk: I thought the blue would look cool as I had googled grey cars with blue calipers and they looked decent IMO
