MattVR6 10 Posted November 18, 2015 Hi all, My sunroof works but I am aware they are prone to breaking and are quite a pain to fix. Is there anything "preventative" I can do to aide the longevity of my working sunroof? WD40? Grease? And please don't suggest "just don't open it" haha. Thanks, Matt

MZpog 10 Posted November 18, 2015 I've got chills, there multiplying........sorry for that, you just need grease. I used this stuff on mine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Liqui-Moly-Silicone-Grease-100g-Tube-3312-Silicon-Fett-transparent-/231596928452?hash=item35ec40adc4:g:nKUAAOSwh6xTu896
Jim 2 Posted November 18, 2015 There was a genuine VW grease which was recommended to be used (part number G 000 450 02) but I think it's obsolete now, so something like the above is probably quite suitable.
