Heater not getting hot

Recommended Posts

Guest petercabrio

I have been trying to get hot air from my heater with no success

It goes from cold to warm when you turn the heat dial and I have checked behind the dash and its moving the arm all the way

It's had a new matrix fitted

All the hoses are hot in the engine bay

The control dial moves air about

There isn't any air in the system, it has new coolant with g12

The temp gauge only goes up to 90 before the fans cool it back down

I am puzzled any help would be appreciated

did you recover the air directories inside of the airbox? they are covered in foam at the factory, which turns to dust over time, i pulled my dash out and just used duct tape to cover the plates up

I didn't replace the matrix, so did nt get to see inside

The aux pump runs, if the impeller was broken or missing would that stop flow of water enough to cause warm heating

Right, now sick of this, it's annoying. The pump runs fine and then seems to run dry. Squeeze hose to reprime and works fine for two mins then runs dry

The only thing I can think Is massive air lock or I need to swap hose to heater matrix back over, I changed these over when first bought the car
