Reverend Frog 10 Posted January 12, 2016 Did the VR6s ever come with BBS rims as standard instead of the Speedlines? Mine's an April 1993 VR6 with cloth interior, but has the 'G60' wheel on it, the BBS RZ(?) are these standard or likely to have been fitted by a previous owner? Jim 2 Posted January 12, 2016 They did do a G60 style BBS wheel for the VR but I'm not sure if they were available as an option over here, or whether they've been retrofitted. You can see them in some US promotional / brochure shots, like: They're similar in than they're traditional BBS style multispokes, but dish out slightly in in the centre, whereas the G60 ones are flatter. KIPVW 0 Posted January 14, 2016 From memory the early Golf VR6 came with the same wheels as a friend had a J reg one. They may have been an option here as Jim says. I have seen several sets on ebay over the years too.
adwhitt 0 Posted January 14, 2016 I have had 2 different versions. The G60 ones have a screw on centre cap and are a 4 stud whereas the Golf VR6 have a push on centre cap and are a 5 stud. As you have them on a VR6 then i would guess they came from a golf.
