delfinis38 1 Posted February 8, 2016 While I've got the front arch liners out, having a general clean. Am wanting to put some better protection on the inner wings... Is Waxoyl the best option.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted February 8, 2016 I used mainly dinitrol products https://dinitrol.co.uk/ClassicCar.aspx The inner wings (on car chassis) are covered in quite a thick layer of rubbery stonechip and then painted bodycolour, so unless yours is damaged i would leave as much of that on as possible. Worth testing all the products first, as i had trouble with some thing not drying over the top of the existing stonechip. I'd chisel off any areas that look odd (its hard to tell where the rust is underneath as the stonechip is so thick), treat the rust and then try to build up the rubbery stone chip again. Then you could add a hard wax over that. Or just paint it.
corrado wannabe 12 Posted February 8, 2016 Also recommend having a look at some of the products Bilt Hamber produce. They have some very good clear and coloured wax protection that gets good reviews. Their stuff can be found here: http://www.bilthamber.com/ Dougie
